The 23 CSU campuses set a strategic initiative to increase graduation goals for 2025. The Division of Undergraduate Education and Academic Planning is vital in supporting students through their undergrad journey. To meet this goal, San Francisco State decided to expand its Academic Counseling team by filling 17 roles within 6 weeks.
With such a high volume of openings and a short timeframe, SF State came to Another Source. Not only are specific qualifications needed to be successful in academic advising, but people were also asking for higher salaries than what was budgeted. The department was already stretched thin and required a recruiting partner to source and qualify the best candidates.
We worked closely with the hiring managers to create a personalized sourcing plan, including direct outreach and a custom landing page. In addition to more traditional avenues, Another Source launched a targeted social media campaign to identify candidates from new channels.
Since their engagement with Another Source, SF State grew their Advising Team from approximately 30 to 50 counselors.
“We are so pleased with how the engagement with Another Source went. To be honest, I am a bit astounded by how successful we were with the hiring. I so, so appreciate the work of you and your team. Thank you so much!” – Kim Altura, Associate Dean, Division of Undergraduate Education
