When Oregon State University needed to hire for the newly-created position of Treasury Director, the hiring team attempted to fill the role without success. They didn’t have the institutional knowledge to hire for such a role since there was no predecessor or process in place.
The treasury role was high-level, but the local candidate pool with treasury experience was severely limited. With constrained bandwidth, the university business affairs hiring team was unable to cast a wide enough net to find qualified candidates.
The hiring team partnered with Another Source, and our Talent Strategists built a recruitment strategy that included engaging treasury candidates from a much wider geographical area, while ensuring they’d be a good fit for the university’s local culture. Our pointed sourcing efforts created a lot of buzz around the role.
By attracting candidates from across the United States, we were able to deliver high-quality choices to the hiring manager, who ultimately picked one of our pool for the role.
