In October, we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)! The theme for 2022 is “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation.” During this month, we recognize the past and present contributions of people with disabilities in the American workforce, as well as inclusive employment policies and practices. One of our favorite resources we have come across is from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). They have created a comprehensive site with this year’s poster, ideas to share on social media, and most importantly, practical steps to promote accessibility year-round. Not sure where to start? This is a learning experience for all, and the DOL has put together a calendar that you can reference throughout October.
